The IOTA Protocol will receive an interesting update, where you can create your own tokens and work with smart contracts etc. Creating your own tokens let's you define your own incentives and value systems within your project or idea. This intern allows to try out different socio economic models.
A smart contract is tamperproof code on the protocol / tangle. It's not really smart and depends on the programming skills of the creator but the tamperproof element could be a fascinating element to proof execution authenticity.
I'm totally looking forward to this update and working on porting my code to the new protocol. This exercise really let's me dig deep into coding and exploring web3.0 and the possibilities around this new technology.
